Our Journey

TSL’s story is one of growth and home-grown excellence…

2001

Incorporated as a road-based logistics & distribution service provider in Nigeria

2002

Commenced operations on June 5th by transporting PMS and AGO with 5 used trucks. Grew fleet to 15 trucks by December 2002

2003-2006

Acquired custom-made assets (aircraft refuelers) required to transport aviation fuel (ATK). Added 125 used assets to the fleet.

2007

Bought our first aluminum jet fuel transportation tankers. Also ordered our first set of brand-new European trucks – 90 Iveco Trakkers.

2008

Commenced full longhaul transportation of petroleum products across Nigeria

2009-2010

Commenced transportation of dry goods. Secured primary transport partner status with PZ Cussons Plc. Added 90 preowned trucks to fleet. Grew to be largest transporter of petroleum products, transporting 25% of total jet fuel transported in Nigeria.

2011

Began hauling for WAPCO Plc (Now Lafarge Africa Plc, a member of Lafarge Holcim Group) with 11 pre-owned trucks.

2012

Due to very good performance WAPCO contracts, we were rewarded with a bigger longterm contract, expanding our fleet size on the contract by 100 trucks. We completed 8,939 trips, carrying goods worth over N32billion over 3.6million KMs.

2013

We expanded our petroleum product transportation business with new contracts with OVH Energy (formerly Oando Marketing Plc) and Axxela (formerly Gas Network Service Limited) and introduced specialized LPG and CNG trucks.

2014-2015

We entered a new contract with Lafarge Africa Plc (LAP) that saw our fleet further increase by 150 trucks to meet increasing demand. We also entered a long-term contract with PZ and added 27 new trucks. We covered 19.9million KMs.

2016

Became a fully diversified logistics company distributing multiple goods (e.g., cement, snacks, CPO etc.) for various blue-chip clients.

2017

Despite the economic recession of late 2016, we increased our fleet by 50 in February 2017 for LAP, and diversified into asset-light businesses including depot operations, driver training etc.

2018

Acquired 295 new trucks to meet increasing client demands from our dry (LAP) and wet (Total Nigeria Plc) businesses respectively.

2019

We signed our longest single term contract till date – A 10-year contract with Nigerian Breweries Plc (A member of the Heineken group).

2020

Despite COVID-19 headwinds, and the full implications, we fully deployed all 150 contracted trucks on the Nigerian Breweries contract. We raised series 1 bond of N12billion ($30 million) out of a N50billion bond offer.
